Gachagua accuses Ruto of 'conning' Kenyans with lies after 2022 victory

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has launched fresh attacks on President William Ruto, accusing him of “conning” Kenyans with unfulfilled campaign promises and perpetuating a “culture of lies” since their 2022 election victory.

Speaking on Octorber 5, 2025, Gachagua challenged Ruto’s narrative of governance, asserting that the President has repeatedly misled the public. He claimed that inconsistencies in statements from the presidency and its team expose a broader pattern of distrust.
