Bonnie Khalwale asks Joseph Nkaissery, Inspector General to drop charges against MPs

Kenya: Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale yesterday lashed out at the Cabinet Secretary for Interior, Joseph Nkaissery and the acting Inspector General of Police (IG) Samuel Arachi following the arrest of five MPs over the chaos that rocked Narok County.

Addressing a news conference at County Hall in Nairobi, Dr Khalwale said the arrest amounted to "intimidation of political leaders" for leading their constituents to a protest. He asked the Cabinet Secretary to drop the charges against the leaders.
