Occasionally, one does get to ‘chill out’ at official functions like Government boredom fests or a diplomatic cocktail. Certainly, I’m sure the sophisticated readers of Home & Away have been to such receptions held in select clubs, hotels or inside embassy halls. There are rules to these ‘officious’ ‘dos’, which I’ll soon spell out as I go along.
