Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia on Friday were held to a goalless draw by KCB as the FKF Premier League heads into the international break.

Gor were seeking to avenge their 1-0 first leg defeat to the bankers in January but Zedekiah Otieno's charges proved too strong to bow down as they picked four points from the leaders.

Despite the draw, K'Ogalo remained top of the standings as the league takes a two week break ahead of international friendlies.

Gor are top of the 18-team log with 42 points, five points ahead of KCB who are second on 37 points.

Speaking after the match, KCB coach Otieno said he is happy with his teams performances after 20 matches while congratulating Bryne Odhiambo and Maurice Owino after their call ups to Harambee Stars provisional squad.

"I am extremely happy for my boys for making it to the national team. This shows that we have been doing a great job at KCB for them to be noticed. I wish them luck and pray they make the final cut.

"For the rest of the team, it will be a healthy 15-days rest and we have to capitalize on that so that we resume healthy and re-energized," said Otieno.

Gor tactician Jonathan McKinstry on the other hand rued missed chances on the defeat.

Defending champions Tusker are third on the log with 36 points followed by Kenya Police and AFC Leopards who are joint fourth each with 35 points.

Vihiga Bullets (5points) are bottom of the table followed by Wazito (11) and Nairobi City Stars (17).
