Uasin Gishu farmers to benefit from clinics

Farmers in Uasin Gishu County will benefit from Xtra Care Clinics which are being held by the Massey Ferguson tractor distributors in Ziwa, Moiben, on January 22nd, on the following day and Turbo on January 24th for Massey Ferguson tractor owners.

These clinics provide free specialized technical services for the owners and drivers who use equipment sold and serviced by the Company.

Lucy Mukuru, the Sales Manager of FMD East Africa, explained, “The Agricultural sector is the backbone of our economy and is part of the Government’s Big Four agenda. To be able to increase food production for our country, we show farmers the latest appropriate and sustainable methods of soil preparation, planting and harvesting”.

“We also invite farmers to bring along their tractors and implements for a complimentary technical check and educate them on preventive maintenance and give them information on advantages of fitting genuine spare parts”.

Last year, FMD organised clinics throughout Kenya benefitting over 2000 farmers. They were shown the latest technology in tractors and implements to increase crop yields and boost earnings.
