The daredevil stunts of motorcross riders at Nairobi’s Jamhuri Park or the elite grand prix motorcycle races on TV make for exciting watching. But since these are well-trained skilled individuals on sturdy motorbikes, even the most adventurous of viewers know better than to ignore the don’t-try-this-at-home caveat.
But it appears there are some who think riding a piki piki (motorbike) is no big deal. Just pay somebody a little money to teach you the basics for an hour or so, then make a few laps around a field, and you are good to go.
