Hand me down

Crystal, One FM presenter and TV actress tells us what’s in her favourite bag

By Wambui Thimba

What bag are you carrying?

It’s a big pink bag I kinda stole from my mother who got it from her friend in Sweden.

How many bags do you have?

Six, maybe seven.

Do you change bags often?

No. I usually carry a bag until it wears out. I’ve been carrying this one since February. It’s my favourite.

What do you like about it?

It fits everything. I can fit in a change of clothes if I have to.

Where do you buy your bags?

I’ve only bought one from Ngara. The rest are gifts or from my mum.

Do you have clutch purses?

I have two. I only carry them when I go out.

Describe some of your bags?

One is bright red, another brown, the other blue and looks like a sports bag and another one is golden.

What would you never leave the house without?

My concealer.

What’s in your bag?

Baby dream wet wipes, umbrella, Apoliva body lotion, text marker for highlighting my lines in scripts, crossword book, He’s Just Not That Into You by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo, two necklaces, earrings, Blue lady deodorant body spray and Agnes of Gold flier (my next play at Phoenix theatre).

Also, a black scarf, hair clip, sunglasses, script, wallet, ipod, business cards, Ventolin inhaler and sandals (in case I get tired of walking in heels).

I also have a grey make-up bag that contains three shades of eye pencil, Black Opal concealer, black nail polish, Nouba eyeliner and PK chewing gum.
