Behold love of my life

EVE BRIDAL: How did you meet?

Angela: We met through a mutual friend, Anita Wamenju.

Couple: Angela Kariuki and Patrick Muriuki

EB: What attracted you to each other?

Patrick: She is amazingly beautiful, mature, intelligent and God-fearing

Angela: He is industrious, responsible, honourable and above all, loves God.

EB: How did he propose?

Angela: We went to church, spent the afternoon together. In the evening, we went to our friend’s house for dinner after which we went home and then he gave me a surprise proposal. I couldn’t resist it!?

Patrick: I wanted to take her out for dinner that evening and propose, but I got derailed at my friend’s house. But since I had planned to propose on that day, I decided to do it at home.

EB: Did you have traditional ceremonies? How many?

Patrick: Yes. Two

EB: Where did you get your gown and maids’ outfit?

Angela: I got my gown at Bridal Palace, while Mefa Creations stitched the bridesmaids’ outfits.

EB: Was it easy getting exactly what you wanted for the wedding?

Patrick: For the men, I outsourced their suits from Dubai through a friend, so I can say it was easy.

Angela: It wasn’t easy for me because I was indecisive about colours and design. I had great ideas on design and colour, but it ended up that they could not suit my maids’ different skin tones and sizes. Yet I wanted to get the perfect colour and design suitable?for all of them.

EB: What was the most challenging part of planning the wedding?

Angela: Since we were raising the cash for our wedding entirely on our own, meeting the required amount proved to be an uphill task. This taught us a thing or two about saving. ?

EB: What part did you love most about the planning process and the wedding day?

Patrick: Monetary contributions from my pals and seamless coordination of transport for our parents and relatives from upcountry. I also loved that there was plenty of food to cater for our guests and that it did not rain

Angela: I loved the shopping bit, seeing my vision of getting married fulfilled and being the star of the show.

EB: What was going through your mind the entire time?

Patrick: I kept praying that the day goes well. I did not want any of our guests to miss food, petty theft, or our relatives, especially our parents missing transport.

EB: Honeymoon?

Patrick: I took her to Bangkok, Thailand.
