Britain's Labour opposition on Friday pulled the plug on six weeks of talks on a Brexit compromise with Prime Minister Theresa May, blaming the "weakness and instability" of her government.

The discussions "have now gone as far as they can," Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said in a letter to May, pointing to "important policy gaps" between the two sides.
