Larry King’s heartbroken estranged wife has said the TV icon died of sepsis following his battle with Covid. The legendary US talk show host died at the age of 87 last weekend after he was hospitalised after contracting the deadly virus. Now, the late TV’s star’s seventh wife Shawn Southwick has said Larry was unable to overcome sepsis while battling Covid and he was "ready to go" because he was so ill. Shawn, who was in the midst of divorcing Larry at the time of his death, said it was the infection that "took him" in the end.

“It was an infection, it was sepsis. Well, he was finally ready to go, I will tell you that,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
