Machine Gun Kelly has shared the news that his father has died in a heartbreaking message to his fans. The 30-year-old rapper was planning to celebrate the anniversary of his fourth studio album, Hotel Diablo when he received the sad news that his dad had passed away.
He shared the news on Instagram and told fans that he would be taking a break from social media while he mourned his father.

Posting imagery from his album which is a fan favourite, the rapper, whose real name is Colson Baker, wrote: "I had plans for the one year anniversary of Hotel Diablo today… that album was everything I wanted to say and I know it’s close to my fans.
"But my father took his last breath this morning, and I’ve never felt a pain this deep in my life. I’m setting my phone down. Love you. Thank you guys for everything."
Kelly didn't share the cause of death, as he kept the exact details private.

The news came just days after Kelly was seen with new girlfriend Megan Fox, 34, as they jetted out of Los Angeles. It was clear that their romance appears to be going from strength to strength as they looked loved-up despite only beginning to date just a month ago.
Megan was pictured cuddling close to the rapper, as he wrapped an arm around his girlfriend.

Actress Megan split from her husband Brian Austin Green in May after almost 10 years of marriage. They share sons Journey, three, Bodhi, six, and Noah, seven, together.
Brian previously quashed rumours Megan had cheated on him with Machine Gun Kelly as he insisted the pair were just "friends at this point".
She first appeared with the musician in his sexy music video for his track Bloody Valentine.
