Diamond Platnumz has thrown his weight behind Nyashinski for MTV EMA award Platnumz urged his over 4 million followers on Instagram to vote for Nyashinski Nyashinski is up against Nigeria’s Wizkid, and SA rapper Nasty C for the Best African Act

Wasafi CEO Diamond Platnumz has thrown his weight behind Kenya’s super star Nyamari Ongegu alias  Nyashinski for the MTV EMA award.

Platnumz took to Instagram where he urged his over 4 million followers to vote for Nyashinski as the best African Act on MTV EMAs.

Please let's not forget to vote for @realshinski as the Best African Act on MTV EMA!!! (Ndugu yetu @realshinski yupo katika tunzo za @MtvEma kwenye kipengele cha Msanii bora Africa... tafadhali tusikose mpigia kura ili kwa pamoja tuilete Tunzo hii Nyumbani...)” Wrote Platnumz

Diamnond’s endorsement is a huge tilting scale for Nyashinski considering that the Tanzanian heartthrob won the award in 2015 himself.

The support that has followed on Nyashinski’s path has been immense after fellow musicians including fiery rapper Khaligraph Jones and the lyrical King Kaka called for Kenyans to vote for him.

Nyashinski since relocating back from a long hiatus at the United States has been riding high with mega hits such as Mungu Pekee, Aminia and Malaika that have seen him globe trot and amass a huge following of fans.

He is up against Nigeria’s Wizkid, and South African rapper Nasty C for the Best African Act at the EMAs which will be held on the 12th of November 2017 at Wembley, UK.

The last Kenyan to win the award was Sauti Sol after they bagged it in 2014.
