Kirinyaga University has suspended six other students for allegedly boycotting lectures. This brings to 41 the number of students suspended for four years.

Trouble started in November last year after the students were said to have boycotted lectures and accused the institution of hiking school fees without giving their parents prior notice.

Through their lawyer Magee wa Magee, the students have written to Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i appealing for his intervention.
