Governor unveils Executive nominees

Taita-Taveta County Governor John Mruttu has finally named his much awaited Cabinet.

Only one woman was named to the county Cabinet.

“We have three positions left in the County Public Service Board and we have reserved them for women,” he said.

Mr Elijah Mwandoe has been nominated to head the Environment, Natural Resources, Tourism and wildlife docket.

Dr Vincent Masawi was nominated to head Livestock and Fisheries Development.

Arnold Mwabili will head Finance and Planning while Harrrison Ben Mghana, will head Agriculture.

Dr Gifton Mkaya will head the health docket with Joseph Mbogho heading the Water and Irrigation department.

Others are Mary Ndigha Kibuka (Lands), Alexander Kubo Mwangeka (Public Works, ICT and Energy),  Stephen Masamo (Community Affairs, Trade and Industry) and Ronald Shako (Administratiion, Devolution and Community Participation).
