Gachagua has brought Kenya shame with his 'cries' in the US

Former Deputy President and Democracy for the Citizens Party leader Rigathi Gachagua addresses a rally at Mulu Mutisya grounds in Machakos town, on May 30, 2025. [File, Standard]

Kenya will be built and defended by the people of Kenya. No foreign entity will save us. It is therefore very ridiculous when former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua speaks about Kenya in the United States (US) in a manner that fundamentally undermines our sovereignty. As Kenyans, we might have frustrations with William Ruto, not as an individual but as the Commander-in-Chief.

We might yell and do all manner of things to express our displeasure with the President but we do so knowing that this is borne out of our collective desire for a better country. But to go and discuss the President in the US, like a snitch reporting colleague to a master, is juvenile at best.
