KCB RFC had to dig deep to overpower varsity side Strathmore Leos 34-25 in an opening match of the Enterprise Cup.

The win sends the bankers to the quarter finals and are set to face Blak Blad on March 26th.

Peter Waitere opened the scores with an excellent try inside seven minutes of play to give his side a 7-0 lead. First half of the game was a closely contested battle with KCB leading 15-6.

In the second half, the away side meant business scoring a couple of penalties to lead 20-15. The bankers full of efforts and guile would demonstrate their winning mentality with Peter Waitere scoring a try before Manasseh Oduor sealed it for the bankers.
