DCI Kinoti’s revelation leaves DP Ruto with an egg on his face

The Director of Criminal Investigation George Kinoti’s revelations surrounding the Sh 40 billion military equipment scandal has put Deputy President William Ruto in an awkward position.

This is after the DCI revealed on Thursday that the besieged former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa, who has been put at the centre of the scandal, met with his guests at DP Ruto’s office for one hour twenty minutes and fifty-nine seconds allegedly to plan the fake deal. This revelation contradicts DP Ruto’s position that Mr Echesa was at his office for 23 minutes.
