Former presidential candidates triggers hot debate with Miguna Miguna's deportation remarks

Former Education Principal Secretary Professor James Ole Kiyiapi has shared his sentiments regarding the re-deportation of national Resistance Movement 9NRMKe) self-declared general Miguna Miguna. Tweeting his opinion, the former presidential candidate evoked reactions from both critics and supporters.Mr Kiyiapi said that the government has no justification to subject Miguna (a Kenyan citizen) to indignity and suffering.Professor James Ole Kiyiapi“We CAN'T be silent when a Kenyan citizen is confined to no man's land in Dubai. He was re-deported a second time on Wednesday, March 28 to Dubai just a day after his arrival. According to him, he was drugged after refusing to board the Dubai bound plane.Miguna during Raila's swearing-in on January 30Following his deportation, Kenyans criticized the government, saying Miguna has a right to visit the country as he is a citizen by birth.Earlier this month, Prof Kiyiapi said that Miguna is best suited for the job since he does not say whatever the political class wants to hear.“Miguna Miguna is not the kind of guy who will say what the political class wants to hear - doesn't matter which side of the divide. He will say it as it is. Give it to him, he is an HONEST fellow, and the NEW broom of leadership Kenya badly needs,” the Professor tweeted.Mr Kiyiapi’s remarks sparked a debate with many tweeps agreeing with him.
