A boy who excelled in last year’s KCPE exam has appealed for financial support to enable him join secondary school.

Godwin Owino from Siribo, Butula Constituency, scored 362 marks at Lubanga Primary School. He expects to join Musingu High School in Kakamega County but due to lack of school fees may lose the slot and have his dreams of becoming an engineer dimmed.

Owino first sat KCPE in 2016 and passed, however he could not join secondary school due to lack of fees. “I am yearning to join secondary school but my mother cannot afford to pay the fees,” he said.

Lubanga Primary School headteacher Redemptor Mutibo described Owino as a humble and hardworking boy.
