Bamburi squatters kicked out in row with developer

Squatters protest against the arrest of their colleagues at Lamkane , Bamburi in Mombasa North mainland. They want Government to help them rebuild their houses as most of them have been sleeping in the cold. The 527 squatters claim a private developers is using police officers to destroy their houses. Hundreds of families are spending nights in the cold following their eviction from land under dispute in Bamburi.

The 527 families said they were forced off the land by armed police officers on the orders of a private developer who is claiming ownership.
