PICTURES OF THE DAY: Students jostle to see President Uhuru Kenyatta

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto found themselves at fix after students of Vanessa Grant Girls School in Rongai ,Nakuru county on June 3,2017 mobbed them when they made a stop over during their campaign trail.

The president and his deputy had a hard time to disentangle themselves from the students not even the security guards could help them.


Some students fell down and sustained minor injuries.The elite security guarding the two most important leaders in Kenya were not prepared for what was in store for them.

What was to be a chit-chat session soon turned out to be an unforgettable experience as the officers tried to rescue Uhuru form the unexpected surge of students. The president at one point had to pull up one student who had been pushed to the ground during the stampede.




As an icing to the cake, the president donated Sh 2 Million to the school
