Another betting platform launched: Has Kenya become a betting hotbed?

Kenya has over 20 betting firms, to that long list add Dafabet, a new betting platform that was inaugurated yesterday. It is popular all over since they are the official sponsors of Sunderland, Burnley, Blackburn Rovers (UK), Celtic(Scotland).

This comes after the government imposed hefty taxations to all betting and gambling firms- news which was embraced with total discontentment from the betting firms’ owners. This continues to beg the question, is Kenya becoming a nation of gamblers? Seems the industry is raking millions and most of Kenyans, mostly youth are really entangled in this phenomenon.
