Worsening pollution in India turns deadly and overtakes China’s

Kassim Kaisan from Tana River county has proved that even when life pushes you to the edge you can still enjoy some of the privileges that are at your disposal.

The man who has no place to call home has decided to make a bush home for himself and his child.Despite him facing a number of dangers in the bush he only dreads one thing: contracting malaria.

Probably what Kassim does not understand is that a better housing is a good intervention in malaria control.

It is said that he and his son have been sleeping in the cold for quite some time. This has really compromised on their health.
The villages are extremely remote and many of the affected people cannot access medical treatment.

In the recent past malaria has caused havoc in Tana River. Many of the affected people could hardly access treatment because of their poverty level.

Various organization have come to the rescue of Tana River residents and provided them with free treated mosquito nets and treatment.
