Kapenguria attack raises questions

The #KapenguriaAttack should be a lesson to security officers. Respect the tools of your trade. If you haven't noticed, the world is at war! #WarOnTerror. The attack raises some serious questions... 1. Why do police officers (with extensive paramilitary and martial arts training) conduct a head count while armed with firearms in Police cells? 2. Are these attacks on Police posts (Wajir, Mangani, Kapenguria) and isolated/random acts or are they well-coordinated probing attacks by al Shabaab?

I don't want to sound alarmist but I have good reason to be worried. You see, there has been an increase in terrorist activity over the past couple of weeks. I suspect a change in al Shabaab strategy. These small scale attacks could be meant to test, stretch and/overwhelm our security and intelligence services even as they plot a high profile attack(s) on Kenyan soil.
