Mama Lucy Kibaki laid to rest at emotional ceremony at Othaya home

Former First Lady Lucy Kibaki has been laid to rest at her Othaya Home in Nyeri County. Mama Lucy passed on on 26th April at the Bupa Hospital in London having been previously hospitalised at the Getrude's and Nairobi Hospitals. 

Mama Lucy was buried shortly after 4pm in a memorable ceremony which was preceded by a service in which her close family and friends eulogised her for being generous, warm-hearted and a firm believer in family values. Many fondly remembered her as being protective of her family and having a soft spot for underprivileged people as intoned by one Stella Wanjiku, an engineering student at the University of Nairobi, who Mrs Kibaki was sponsoring.
