Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has threatened to sue the government of his Nairobi counterpart over pollution of Athi River.

Kabogo, who said pollution of the river occurs mainly in Nairobi, also said he would take industries that pollute the river to court if the trend is not reversed.

He was speaking at the famous Fourteen Falls near Thika during celebrations to mark Earth Day 2016. He said the river is mostly polluted by sewage from city residential estates and industries.
