Boy in Kayole dies while playing with siblings

An exciting play session among siblings ended tragically when one of them suffocated to death.

Roy Wambua, 12, was playing with his younger siblings when they tied him using a mosquito net.

Kayole OCPD Ali Nuno said the children continued to play and did not notice that Wambua, a Standard Six pupil, had suffocated.

“They tied the boy’s head with the net that we suspect had the mosquito spray, leaving him to suffocate. It seems they did not know,” said Mr Nuno.

The boy’s father said he realised he was dead minutes later when he went to ask him to go and have his dinner. Police were called and and they took the body to the mortuary.

Meanwhile, police are looking for a middle-aged woman suspected to have murdered her co-wife in Kasarani, Nairobi.

The woman was killed in the suspect’s house. Police say the woman committed the murder while in the company of her worker who is also on the run.

The husband arrived home to find the body of his younger wife lying in a pool of blood with a stab wound in the stomach and neck. Police say the two women have been having differences.
