Harambee Stars let down thousands of fans

Kenya: Harambee Stars’ match against Zambia’s Chipolopolo left me gutted. What I had anticipated to be a great match ended in a disappointment after the national team surrendered a one goal lead to succumb to a two goal defeat in front of home fans.

Like many other fans who thronged the Nyayo National Stadium in thousands to cheer the stars, I feel let down. Kenyans had a good week after conquering the world in Beijing and the icing on the cake was Harambee Stars wrapping up a win against Zambia. The aftermath of the loss has drawn mixed reactions from Kenyans. Coach Bobby Williamson’s reign is under scrutiny having not won a single match since he succeeded Adel Amrouche.
