Kenya: The search of a 31-year-old lady who mysteriously went missing two weeks ago came to a tragic conclusion Saturday afternoon when she was found dead.

The former Standard Digital Intern went missing on Sunday, November 23 and it emerged that she had been involved in a hit-and-run incident while she was headed to church just a few kilometres from her house.

Witnesses at the scene of the accident said the driver of the car was drunk and speeding when he veered off the road to the pavement where Deborah was walking.

Deborah died on the spot and her body was taken to City mortury.

Deborah was pursuing her master’s degree at Daystar University at the time of her death.

According to her sister Caroline Achieng, Deborah was an employee on short term contract at Community Health Evangelism (CHE) and lived in Ngumo (Highview Estate).

“When we realised Deborah has been missing for over two days, we reported the matter to the police where we were given an Occurrence Book (OB) number,” Achieng said.

“We called all her friends and tried reaching her on phone but nothing was forthcoming. That’s when we decided to check in hospitals and morgues and sadly we found her body at the city mortuary,” she tearfully concluded.

We at the Standard Digital Team condole with the family and may she rest in peace.
