Kenya enters Sh60b deal to improve electricity access

NAIROBI, KENYA: Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir has unveiled new plans to expand the country's electricity access and reduce power supply interruptions in the next 5years.

The CS said Kenya is negotiating a Sh60 billion loan from African Development Bank (ADB) to finance this ambitious plan and expand electricity access from the current 32per cent to 70.
