NAIROBI: Standard’s Komen off to Glasgow

The Standard Group’s award-winning sports reporter Jonathan Komen  left for Glasgow last night to cover the 20th Commonwealth Games which start on Wednesday and run through to August 3. Komen (top), whose comprehensive athletics coverage has earned him two awards, including this year’s and 2012 Media Council of Kenya awards, has covered many World Athletics Championships, including last year’s Senior global event in Moscow and its youth version in Lille, France in 2011. He will bring comprehensive reports from Scotland and FeverPitch readers can make a date with their favourite newspaper for all reports from the Games.  Komen left aboard British Airways flight.
