RUGBY: Confederation of African (CAR) Africa Cup to be held in Nairobi

This year’s Confederation of African (CAR) Rugby Men’s Africa Cup Sevens will be held in Nairobi on September 27-28. The event will be held concurrently with the Safaricom Sevens. Speaking at the IRB rugby seminar in Cape Town, Jean-Luc Barthes, IRB General Manager for Africa said, “ This year’s event will take place alongside Kenya’s Safaricom Sevens Hosting it concurrently with the Safaricom Sevens will raise the tournament’s profile and will be a source of great exposure for all participating teams.”  Barthez also indicated that South Africa would field a representative side at the event.                                                           – KRU
