EPL: Manchester City have scored 52 goals and Liverpool 42 this season and Brendan Rodgers is promising more on Boxing Day  Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is prepared to turn today’s clash with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium into the battle of the gun-slingers.

It will be a face-off between the Premier League’s two most prolific goalscorers with the country’s most potent strike force on home soil meeting the team who have scored more than any other on their travels.  Liverpool head to the Etihad top of the league, but City can claim top spot with victory and Rodgers says the title is Manuel Pellegrini’s to lose.
