Kenya: KTN has broken yet another record by being the first Facebook fan page in Kenya to hit the 600,000 follower mark.

The fan page, which is used to disseminate news and interact with KTN’s audience, yesterday crossed the milestone, stamping its authority on social media.

KTN hit this milestone early on Wednesday leaving other pages a considerable distance behind. President Uhuru Kenyatta’s page has 535,000 likes, NTV 517,500 and Citizen TV with 440,099.

This is not the first time the Standard Group has taken the lead on social media. In March this year, the Nairobi Stock Exchange listed the group as the top firm in the use of social media.

Standard Digital’s Editor David Ohito expressed gratitude to the fans for placing the group at the top.
