Outcry of death of a pupil beaten by her teacher in Kilifi

A Grade Eight pupil at Gongoni Primary School in Kilifi South died of a brain haemorrhage six days after she was caned by her teacher on September 19.

A postmortem report shows that the girl, Anestine Tunje, 15, sustained a head injury caused by blunt force trauma that caused blood haemorrhage into the brain and cerebral oedema.
