Mariakani weighbridge to be in operation by April

Construction of the modern weighbridge at Mariakani, along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway, is 60 per cent complete, Infrastructure Principal Secretary John Mosonik has said.

The PS expressed satisfaction with the project funded by the Government to the tune of Sh800 million, which is expected to enhance cross-border trade between Kenya and regional economies, besides improving efficiency along the Northern corridor, more so goods to and from landlocked countries.
