Slain business woman to be buried in Nyeri

Nairobi businesswoman Mary Wambui Kamangara, who was killed last week, will be buried at her husband’s home in Mweiga, Nyeri.

Wambui’s body was found next to a dam near Mugutha estate in Juja Constituency on January 27.

According to a postmortem examination, she was hit nine times on the head and suffocated.

Wambui's husband Joseph Kori Karue is in police custody as investigation into her murder continues.

According to Wambui's sister, Esther Kamangara, the family is yet to set the burial date and is waiting to see if Kori will be released on February 13, when he is due to return to court.

Kori is being held at Juja police station alongside another suspect, Judy Wambui, after Kiambu Senior Principal Magistrate Stella Atambo allowed police to continue holding them for 14 days.

Last week, Wambui’s family explained that although Kori was still under investigation, he still had a say on where the mother to his children would be buried.
