IMLU on torture

The independent medico legal unit claims the Kenya police has conducted 50 extrajudicial killings and tortured more then 200 suspects in their custody this year. At the 13th commemoration of the international day against torture, a group of non governmental organizations released names of police stations they claim are known for using excessive force during interrogations. The activists are now urging the government to come up with policies that will curb further acts of torture.
