Ufungamano Team On Constitution

The ufungamano multisectoral forum now wants the parliamentary select committee to consider a raft of proposals it has made for inclusion in the revised harmonised draft. In the proposals the group proposes a presidential system of governance with checks and balances and seeks independence of the various arms of government. The forum accuses the committee of experts of excluding most of its views. And in yet another twist to the constitution review debate, Imenti central mp Gitobu Imanyara says he will bring a bill to parliament that will seek to allow the presentation of two drafts at the referendum.
