Tuskys responds to viral photo of their bread concerning manufacturing date

Tuskys supermarket management on Monday April 6, was put on the spot after a photo of their bread showing that it was manufactured the next day went viral on social media.

The photo of the bread was posted by one Twitter user, Cyprian Nyakundi, which showed the manufacturing date as April 7, yet the post was put on a day before.

Concerned citizens took to the comment section and called out on the Tuskys management calling the product as ‘bread from the future.’

After several complains from netizens, Tusyks, through their official Twitter handle, responded saying that their quality control manager was following up on the issue.

“Hello Cyprian, our quality control manager is actively following up on the matter. This is not in accordance to the Tuskys Operating procedures,” said Tuskys.

They also went ahead and assured the public that they will take action against those involved in the process of manufacturing the bread to avoid such cases in the future.

“We want to you assure the public that stern action will be taken against the involved to avoid recurrence,” Tuskys added.

At a time where the country is being faced with the coronavirus pandemic, citizens have been asked to take care of themselves including what they consume.

Currently, the number of confirmed cases stand at 158 with 6 deaths and 4 recoveries.
