Coronavirus: Kenya Airways offers one-way complimentary tickets to Nairobi for Kenyan citizens

The Kenya Airways on Tuesday morning March 24, announced that they will be offering one-way tickets to Nairobi for the Kenyan citizens in the US in urgent need over Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Through a statement, KQ said that this would be their last flight after the government announced that all international flights would be suspended effective Wednesday midnight March 25.

“As our last flight departs JFK today, we are offering one-way complimentary tickets to Nairobi, to Kenyan citizens in urgent need,” said KQ.

The management also urged Kenyans willing to travel to contact their team for more information adding that all passengers will have to be screened upon entry at the JKIA.

“Please contact our team on +1(866)5369224 for more information. *All passengers will be subjected to entry/screening procedures instituted by the MOH,” added KQ.

On Sunday, KQ announced that they will suspend all international passenger flights and only cargo flights would be operational.

“We are temporarily suspending all international passenger services effective 25/03/2020 until further notice. We apologise greatly to our affected customers for the inconvenience caused and look forward to serving you once again.”

“We will continue to operate cargo flights particularly to offer emergency services and much-needed supplies,” said KQ.
