BM security guard awarded for recovering handbag with Sh103,260

A guard at BM security has been awarded for what most would call ‘honesty and integrity.’

John Mugendi was presented with a certificate of virtue after he recovered a handbag containing Sh103,260, three cheques, iPhone, and other personal items.

Mugendi recovered the items from a client who had misplaced her handbag at the Sarit Center in January 2020.

The guard was congratulated by the management and encouraged him to continue with the same spirit.

“Our employees are the embodiment of integrity and professionalism. John Mugendi recovered a handbag containing Kshs.103,260, 3 cheques, iPhone and other personal items misplaced by a client. We celebrate you for upholding our core value of honesty and integrity. Kudos,” said BM Security.

Several Kenyans on social media were quick to air their views, with most of them saying that he should be given a raise.

Charles Owino says, “From his character, it’s easy to conclude that the future of our country is bright...he deserves a promotion...”

His sentiments were echoed by David Obudho who says, “As HR specialist I will recommend a promotion as I appreciate the award.”
