President Uhuru Kenyatta directives have left some of the Jubilee nomination aspirants guessing on which way to go.

The President has clearly issued a directive that all aspirants seeking Jubilee Party nominations must be cleared by the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission before they participate in the party’s nominations.

According to him those seeking nominations yet they have pending corruption cases there nomination papers will be rejected by the party’s secretariat.

This move will see those elected on Jubilee ticket face zero integrity issues which will help reduce corruption cases which have been witnessed in the past.

Also, all aspirants are supposed to clear with the Kenya Revenue Authority for tax compliance and Credit Reference Bureau for loan repayment.

It is through this directive that made the former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga nomination papers to be rejected on the basis of integrity.

These directives probably have caused anxiety to some of the aspirants who have not been cleared with EACC, KRA and the higher education board.

Already some of the aspirants with integrity issue are contemplating quitting to join other political parties which will absorb them.

This comes amidst of fears that the party preliminaries will see some of the aspirants given a raw deal in favour of the President and his Deputy allies.
