Many people when you talk about Kibera a picture that comes into their mind is a bad mental picture.Kibera has been associated with so many bad things until when you tell somebody you come from there he or she doesn't feel comfortable around you.

I do agree that there are a lot of bad things that are happening in Kibera but despite all those bad things, there are equally so many good things that are happening in Kibera.

You will notice the good things that are happening there when yo take your time to visit the slum. This will perhaps change your perception about the largest slum in Kenya.

There are so many people from Kibera who have achieved and realised their potential hence exploiting it to become great men and women in this country.

The inspiring story of Eunice Akoth, a pupil from Kibera Primary School for girls has proved that children from the slums have an equal opportunity like their counterparts from estates. They can realise their God-given potential and become great people.

It all depends on their beliefs and determination to break all barriers and achieve what most people think it is not easy to achieve.

"Kibera! Can anything good come from there?" Yes "Come and see.”
