I will be on the ballot Henry Kosgey tells his opponents

Veteran politician Henry Kosgey has come out to reassure his electorates that he is still going for the Nandi county governor's seat. This is after it emerged that some of his opponents had circulated information that he had bowed out of the race.

Speaking to residents during a rally in Nandi hills, the former legislator reassured his supporters that he was on the race and would strive to ensure that the residents of Nandi would get access to services that had been denied by the current county leadership.

"I am still on the race, my detractors have come up with schemes to discredit my track record, they are afraid of my growing influence and have sensed defeat" he told the residents.

The politician is seeking the leadership on a jubilee ticket running against several other aspirants including the incumbent Dr Cleophas lagat. He has promised to turn the county into an agricultural and a business hub.

The politician has been in active politics for a long time and is viewed as the strongest contender for the seat.
