LIKE ODILI IN A MAN OF THE PEOPLE ,THE EDUCATED STAND NO CHANCE IN KENYA'S MURKY POLITICAL WATERS

Following an attack on Kulbiyow KDF camp in Somalia that saw a number of Al-Shabaab militia killed in the attack and some of our soldiers die, there have been mixed reactions from a number of Kenyans.

Some say that the government should withdraw our troops from Somalia while others say they should stay there and continue with their mission.

One of the leaders who has expressed his feelings about KDF is the Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. He said Kenya needs to go back to the drawing board about the war in Somalia.

Speaking on Sunday at Redeemed gospel church Inc in Pipeline Kalonzo called on the government to withdraw our troops from Somalia because he sees the relationship of our troops with that of African Union Mission in Somalia (Amisom) is not working in unison.

According to Kalonzo the many setbacks that are facing our soldiers in Somalia will make them fail in their mission leading to a good number of them losing their lives.

The wiper leader further said that they were supposed to participate in the mission for six months only a period that has already elapsed.

He also said that by the government insisting that the soldiers remain in Somalia it has caused more harm than good to this nation.

Kalonzo’s remarks are politically driven and they are likely to cause more harm than help to this country. This is not the time for our forces to withdraw but to intensify their attacks on the Militia.

By withdrawing it means that Al-Shabaab will have won the war and they will now boast of how they defeated the KDF soldiers.

Also when they withdraw from Somalia the insurgents will regroup and become stronger, in that when they start attacking Kenya they will be a very strong force to defeat.

Something else that is clear is that the militia is ready to revenge. The truth be told KDF has caused a very big loss to the group and according to them they want to redeem themselves.

It is also clear that as the opposition leaders speak they are simply telling the Al-Shabaab to intensify their attacks on KDF and Kenya.

It is like telling them we will be helping you by reminding our leaders to withdraw our forces from Somalia so that you continue killing people there and in Kenya.

This is the time to give the government and our troops the full support they need.Al-Shabab is already defeated and they are just frustrated individuals.KDF will overcome them,it is only a matter of time.
