Truth about online jobs opportunities

I had seen a couple of the adverts promising a weekly fortune, somerhwere between 8,000 to 10,000 shillings. I was tempted by the prospect of working at the comfort of my home and earn such an amount of money being a broke university student. So I took the number and contacted the person.

After a few exchanges he directed me to an office which I don’t care to remember, armed with 200 shillings, which he had claimed was for the seat. Here I was to be inducted into the magic of making such a huge amount of money within a short time.

I arrived there to find a huge crowd of people seated silently, contemplating about money they were going to make once they got out of the place. A small TV rumbled at the corner, with Dr. Myles Monroe doing what he used to do best, motivation speaking. Little did I know that what Monroe said would the most important thing I’d hear at the training.

The first speaker was one man who had glaring shortcomings when it came to speaking the queen’s language. Like how did he landed he job? Some of us started walking out, they hadn’t paid for such nonsense. But some held on, including me. We were hopeful about making money.

Then the bombshell. We had to part with 3,600, an equivalent of 40 dollars at the time, as registration fees. Then we’d earn money through referring other people. Each member who signs in creates a chain which trickles down to you, hence the more people you’ve signed using the referral name you’d be given, the more the amount of money one gets.

Looking at it closely, I wondered who the real winner in the equation was. It could be the company, Social Biz Connect. They reiterated the need to shun naysayers, by parading people who had made it with the company. They showed pictures of before and after, all with huge improvements on their lifestyle.

Try if you can afford to lose a couple of thousands.
