Student dies after night attack at university

A University of Eldoret student died on Wednesday night after he was attacked within the campus. The Third Year student was reportedly attacked while on his way to a cafeteria.

Eldoret East OCPD Nelson Taliti said the student sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

He said the motive of the attack was still unclear. The officer said police are investigating.
