The cold war between singing stars Size 8 and Avril could get worse after Avril’s name was dropped from the Guinness Football Challenge list in favour of the Fire singer.

Avril had headlined three previous town-to-town shows before it emerged that Size 8 will take the Kitu Kimoja singer’s place during tomorrow’s Nyayo National Stadium show. The public relations agency in charge of the show could not divulge any details on the changes.

“The event organisers called me last week and asked if I was available and I said ‘yes’. I gave them my quote after which they gave me the show,” Size 8 told Pulse on Wednesday.

“I hope Avril does not take this personally. I have nothing against her,” Size 8 added.

The Ogopa Deejays management downplayed the issue saying there was no fallout with the Guinness Football Challenge crew.

Early this year, the Niko na Safaricom concerts contract went in favour of Size 8 even after Avril’s management made a bid for the same.
