Lent, a 40-day period of fasting and repentance is observed by Christians in preparation for Easter and kicks off on Ash Wednesday, which is also trending as number eight “What is” searches. Ash Wednesday is one of the most popular and important holy days in the liturgical calendar and this year, it was celebrated on February 10.
